Restructuring an apartment
PARIS 03
Looking over a beautiful courtyard in the Marais district, the apartment was originally split into three successive spaces, each one with their own window. It was entirely reconfigured to profit from these openings.
By putting all the functional rooms (bathroom, toilet) in the far end of the apartment, all the living spaces were turned toward the light source.
The living area profits from two windows and a large sliding door allows for an opening or closing onto the bedroom and a third window for more light. Open, the living space is bigger and has more depth. Closed, the bedroom retains its privacy.
The customs fitting in every room permit a full optimization of space and storage in this small surface area. The kitchen counter top integrates a sitting area, a desk, and highlights the bias of the bedroom.
