Ongoing construction project
The project is inspired by its location in the new Camille Claudel neighborhood between the central square and a park. Centered between new urbanism and a natural vegetation.
The building was imagined as a light structure with a peaked roof and a wooden skeleton. The idea of Malabar architects was to start from a simple form: an agricultural hangar. Contrary to such structures, this community center is largely opened up onto the street. It is not a closed box. The center opens up onto the community. To maintain the simple lines, the wooden skeleton of the frame continues up to the roof as one unit.
